How much does it cost to start running off-duty through RollKall?

There is no cost to the coordinator for using the RollKall platform.

Can I still include coordinator fees on jobs?

Yes - you set your coordinator fees when you input the job details.

I’ve never coordinated off-duty before. What does managing it involve?

The process with RollKall is simple:

  1. Input requests from businesses into the RollKall portal
  2. The request is posted on the mobile app for officers to apply
  3. View and approve hours once the job is worked
  4. Submit an automatically generated invoice to the business
  5. The business submits payment through the platform

How do I get officers to see and apply for the jobs I post?

Direct officers to download the mobile app (if they aren’t on it already) and after a quick verification process, they will be ready to apply for jobs.

Can I use the network of officers I currently schedule for off-duty jobs?

Yes, the platform is flexible. Current officers can download and create an account on the mobile app in addition to any new officers you may want to schedule.

I schedule jobs that require a lot of officers. Can I pull officers from outside my agency?

Yes, RollKall has cross-jurisdictional capabilities as long as those officer’s agency allows them to work outside their jurisdiction. All officers simply need to sign up on the mobile app to access the job.

How do I transition my clients to RollKall? How long does it take?

Simply input your clients and any jobs into the platform. The time it takes depends on how many businesses you currently work with. However, input is fast and you will get assistance from a RollKall representative during your one-hour onboarding call. 

How much time does it take to manage/coordinate off-duty through RollKall?

While time spent does vary, most coordinators spend up to 5-10 hours a week managing off-duty with RollKall. The time commitment of off-duty coordination depends on the number of jobs you are filling.

Can I accept credit cards?

Yes. Clients can pay by credit card or ACH. When they do, officers and businesses automatically get general liability insurance. Additionally, officers get access to InstantPay, workers’ compensation, and occupational accident insurance. (terms apply)
